It is a reinforced belt (made of leather and a PVC plastic sheet inside the belt to strengthen it) with built-in flexible parts, which are used in a way similar to handles for pulling the trousers up for dressing. This first device was based on an approximately fifty year old design which is still in use today by the Milbat organization. The users of this device remarked the part that was too large and unwieldy, making it difficult to use and transport when travelling. In addition, the old device was not aesthetically pleasing. We brainstormed different possibilities to approach the presented difficult; at the conclusion of which we decided to improve the current model, as well as create a new product which will solve this issue. We weighed other options, such as a telescopic device, or devices which could easily be dismantled as well as other solutions - we even considered creating a specialized line of clothing. In the end, we settled for the two options currently present as the finished products of our group: the WIPER and the BELPER
The purpose is to help in reaching, bending over and pulling the trousers up.
The need knower has trouble with pulling his trousers up.
