Handsfree door opener
About this project
Touchless door handle mechanism that can be used in every door just replacing the standard handle.
Coronavirus spreads through surfaces that are frequently touched like door handles - we need a solution especially for hospitals, senior care centers and public buildings, an automatic door opener can help to decrease the risk to be infected and is also useful for people with special needs and disabilities.
The challenge
To design a new door handle mechanism that can be adapted for people with disabilities.
We want to create a simple product for people to open doors without infecting ones hands and with a customized opening system, that would be quick to print, easy to assemble and able to be manufactured in large amounts.
In dieser Challenge soll ein neuer Türöffnungsmechanismus entworfen werden, der auch auf die Bedürfnisse von Menschen mit Behinderung angepasst werden kann. Wir wollen ein einfaches Produkt schaffen, dass das Öffnen von Türen ohne Hände oder Berührung ermöglicht. Es soll schnell zu drucken, einfach zusammenzubauen und in großen Mengen produzierbar sein.
