Inclusive DJ controller kit

Inclusive DJ controller kit - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

As part of the recovery process, Rotem wishes to go back to his Job and preform as a DJ. The kit we developed aids him with turning and pressing some of the knobs on the board.

Who it helps

Rotem is a professional DJ. As a result of his injury it became harder for him to preform certain action with the controller panel.

How it works

The shape of the knobs enable the user to turn them without a pinch motion, and the splints allow the user to press and apply pressure on a button without the fingers unintentionally folding

Within this kit are two solutions, one are 3d printed knobs the replace the existing ones, and the other is a single and a double finger splint the "locks" the finger joints.

The knobs are made to fit Pioneer XDJ-RX2, Size can be changed in Solidworks.

Tools needed

PC or MAC I7 +
