LapTray for Cindy
About this project
This solution is lap tray that is fixed on the wheelchair for any table-top tasks (e.g.,
completing homework assignments, eating and much more).
The challenge
Cindy is looking for a solution to help her hold the laptray securely with her
left hand and fix it on her wheelchair for her table-top tasks (e.g.,
completing her assignments and eating).
Who it helps
Cindy (17) has been diagnosed with Morquio syndrome since birth. She
faces numerous physical challenges due to the deformaties and joint
hypermobility in her major joints (shoulder, wrist, hips joints, etc.), which
impact the ease of wearing clothes with buttons and zips and carrying
items that are bulky or heavy. However, Cindy strives to be as
independent as possible in her daily living.
