Let it Bass - Foot Powered Drum Set

Let it Bass - Foot Powered Drum Set - open-source assistive technology working model by the Abraham Accords Open Innovation Challenge community

About this project

This project uses MIDI Frequency to connect an electronic drum set to an arcade button that is programmed to make a bass drum sound straight from the Need Knower, Yuval's, drum set.

The challenge

This solution was developed during the 2022 Abraham Accords Open Innovation Challenge.

It was designed for Yuval Hadad, a quadraplegic living in a wheelchair with very limited motion, but who has always loved music. This solution helps Yuval play the drums with minimum effort and tiny movements in his feet!
