One-handed Rake

One-handed Rake - open-source assistive technology concept by the Beit Halochem Tel Aviv community

The challenge

This project is designed to enable the use of a rake and the performance of cleaning and Raking tasks with one hand, without causing pain. The project also helps strengthen muscles and maintain a proper ergonomic posture during the activity.

Who it helps

This project is suitable for individuals who need or prefer to work with one functional hand and value balanced support and comfortable operation.

How it works

The solution allows the user to work with less pain caused by imbalance and in a way that supports proper body posture.

The solution in this project uses a horizontal handle for proper grip, an elastic band that provides support and balance during the activity, and joints that enable optimal movement.
