One-handed shoelaces v2

One-handed shoelaces v2 - open-source assistive technology working model by the Hadassah Academic College community

The challenge

Some people have a disability in one hand and still want to wear shoes with laces that look as ordinary as possible.

Who it helps

People who want to tie shoelaces using one hand

How it works

Because it allows for wearing a shoe with one hand

We inserted a metal wire into a shoelace. This way, we can maintain tension and wrap the shoelace in a way that looks like a regular tie.

Tools needed

Measurement tool

scissors
