About this project
We are proposing a discrete armband that simultaneously monitors heart rate and has a has a motion sensor to detect when there is excessive rapid arm movement from the waist to the chest. If some pre-determined threshold is exceeded then it should alert a loved one’s phone.
The challenge
Many patients with seizure disorders will rapidly draw their arms into their chests during seizures.
Who it helps
The need knowers are people with seizures.
