Speaker Holder

Speaker Holder - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Arizona State University community

The challenge

Our Need-Knower uses a speaker so her voice is heard in louder environments, however there is currently no optimal placement on her wheelchair. So, our project hopes to solve that issue.

Who it helps

Wheelchair Users, or users that may need a speaker (small, handheld size speaker)

How it works

Katie's speaker deals with feedback and sound issues with its current set up, so our solution will create an additional placement below the armrest to prevent that.

Our solution is a speaker holder that can sit on an armrest (for wheelchairs or general chairs with an armrest) that has the speaker hanging below the armrest. It could potentially be used to hold other items as well.

Tools needed

PC or MAC I7 +

Prusa slicer
