Team Open Door - open-source assistive technology challenge by the Singapore community

The challenge

William would like us to find a solution which will help him to open the door from his wheelchair and get in and out of his home independently.

William (32) has Becker muscular dystrophy. He is physically dependent on

his family to care for his activities of daily living. He uses a motorized

wheelchair to travel from place to place and has limited movement in his

hands. William enjoys the ability to move around to explore on his own.

However, he depends on his family to open the door for him to go out.
