THH - Limb Prosthetics for Guatemala

THH - Limb Prosthetics for Guatemala - open-source assistive technology concept by the California State University, Fullerton community

The challenge

People living with limb differences worry they will not be able to feed their families because they cannot work swiftly and efficiently as they could be. They are also seen differently in the eyes of their communities due to their missing limb.

Who it helps

He is helping in Guatemala with the prosthetics.

How it works

This solution will address the challenges of working and social interaction by giving people a functional arm and hand that they may have lost, or never had. Gaining a functional arm will allow people to live easier, and more efficiently.

The solution my team is offering is a chance at a new life with a transhumeral prosthetic arm. This prosthetic will consist of an upper and lower socket, attached to a Team Unlimbited hand with cables and lightweight 3D-printed materials.
