TOM Figure

TOM Figure - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

This project was created to provide a more engaging and memorable giveaway that better reflects TOM's mission, values, and maker culture.

Who it helps

This product is designed for TOM interns, fellows, donors, partners, and visitors as a unique keepsake of their connection to the TOM community.

How it works

This solution addresses the challenge by creating a customizable giveaway that represents TOM’s maker-focused identity and encourages greater user investment through hands-on assembly and personalization.

Our solution is a TOM mascot figure made from interchangeable snap-together parts. Users can assemble and customize the figure with different colors and pieces, then use it as a keychain.

Tools needed
