ViBand

The challenge

Her hard of hearing causes her to listen to TV at loud volumes and subsequently miss notifications and calls on their phone.

How it works

ViBand essentially transfers notifications from the user’s phone to their wrist by vibrating when a notification comes in. The need-knower’s skin is irritated by wearables like smartwatches, so the ViBand is cotton cloth-covered to avoid irritation.
