Wheelchair-Attachable Kibble Dispenser

Wheelchair-Attachable Kibble Dispenser - open-source assistive technology working model by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Service dogs require regular feeding of kibble to meet their nutritional needs and support their training requirements. However, wheelchair users with low dexterity can have difficulty carrying a kibble bag and reaching to feed their service dogs.

How it works

The dispenser releases one single piece of kibble elevated off the ground without using any electronic components.

The Kibble Roulette Dispenser places a piece into a single row as it passes through the funnel. When the roulette wheel is turned, one piece of kibble is loaded into the slot of the wheel. The kibble at the bottom spot falls out into the container.
