The TOM community at Cal Poly SLO was established in 2024 with the mission of leveraging the university's engineering expertise to create impactful assistive technology solutions. As part of our commitment to innovation and inclusivity, we aim to build a strong network of students, faculty, and industry partners who share a passion for making a difference in the lives of those with disabilities. Our goals include hosting our first Makeathon event, submitting projects to the 2025 Global Innovation Challenge, and actively supporting the local community through partnerships with schools, rehab centers, and other organizations. We look forward to growing the TOM community at Cal Poly and contributing to the global assistive technology movement.
