Adaptive Golf Prosthetic

Adaptive Golf Prosthetic - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Thomas Jefferson University community

The challenge

There are very limited adaptive devices available for upper limb amputees who play golf and currently no devices exist for one-armed golfers who still have both arms, but one is non-functional such as with Sean.

Who it helps

One-armed golfers

How it works

The prosthetic is designed to perform the functionality of the missing arm during a golf swing by providing stability to assist the functional arm.

This solution is a lightweight 3D printed prosthetic arm that attaches to the user through a shoulder harness and then directly attaches to the golf club.

Tools needed

PC or MAC I7 +
