Adaptive Saddle - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Slippery Rock University community

The challenge

During her physical therapy sessions, Molly is working towards riding with less support from side walkers. This project is deisgned to have wedges and handles to facilitate keeping proper form on the horse, and increase independence when riding.

How it works

By adding these components to the saddle pad, Molly will have the support she needs to be a more independent rider.

Forearm support from the wedges, handles for grip, and trunk support from the pillow.
