Zipping Aid

Zipping Aid - open-source assistive technology prototype by the 2021 TOM Global Innovation Challenge (GIC) community

About this project

Orit has arthritis that makes it difficult for her to function on a

daily basis, the Zipping Aid helps her to open and close zippers independently.

Orit works as an executive assistant and lectures and attends

many conferences that include social events that require formal

attire. Orit likes to wear dresses for these events and following

the arthritis, it is very difficult to do so.

Who it helps

The Zipping Aid helps Orit to close and open the dress easilynd without anyone's help.

The Zipping Aid locks onto the zipper tongue and allows

closure, without fear of opening during the closing process. Orit

can now wear the dress alone without any help at all.

How it works

Zipping aid is one of the participating projects of the 2021 Global Innovation Challenge.

You can learn more about the challenge on the GIC website or browse the projects on the GIC community page .
